Craftsmanship & Materials
This Artistic Violet Parchment applies genuine parchment (vellum) on goat skin, tanned using traditional French technique inherited from Art Deco. Each sheet is hand-selected, hydrated, custom-cut, and applied with reversible adhesives. 36 years places us among the few ateliers worldwide that still master this Jean-Michel Frank technique.
At Carpiperg, genuine parchment is our language. This piece can be customized in tones (natural bone, tobacco, emerald, honey, two-tone), application pattern (continuous panels, geometric marquetry, embroidered slats), vellum thickness (0.4–0.6 mm), and substrate wood. A technique few ateliers worldwide still master.
